Bus set afire in Ashulia

Miscreants set fire to a bus at Boraipara on Nabinagar-Chandra road of Dhaka’s Ashulia early Tuesday, during the 48-hours road-rail-waterway blockade across the country enforced by BNP and like-minded parties.
Several seats of the bus were burnt but no casualties were reported.
According to witnesses, when the Dhaka-bound Itihas Paribahan bus was loading and unloading passengers at Baroipara bus stand smoke and fire were seen in the back side of the bus.
Ashulia Police Station officer-in-charge Kamruzzaman said locals extinguished the blaze with water from their own sources.
